We are Project Milk Carton.

A nonprofit in Elko, Nevada. Our mission is simple: make child welfare visible, and keep missing children in front of the people who can bring them home.

Why we exist

A missing child is found by someone close by who knows the face. So we take the children on NCMEC's public list and put them on a map, county by county, where you live. Every link goes to NCMEC's own page. We never keep a copy of a child's poster or photo, so when a child comes home, the link says so the same minute.

We also map how the child-welfare system makes its decisions, step by step, so families and reporters can see the process instead of guessing at it.

On each map page you will find ARIA, our AI helper. ARIA says it is AI and points you to the source. The phone lines come first, and they are real people.

• Andrew Fayal, Founder and President

  

  Andrew "Andy" Fayal is the founder and president of Project Milk Carton. A Navy EOD veteran, he spent his service performing extremely precision-driven life-saving work in dangerous places around the world so other people could go home.

  That work rewarded attention to detail, discipline, skill, and refusing to look away from something because it was hard. He brought those habits home.

  Andy built the technology behind Project Milk Carton: the public data tools, the research systems, and the platform that turns scattered public records into something an organization, a family or a neighbor can actually use. He also writes first-person accounts of his service, his faith, and the road that led him here.

  Once a warrior for his country, he is a warrior of a different kind now. The mission has not changed: getting people home safe. Today those people are children.

• Melody Jennings, Chief Executive Officer

  

  Melody Jennings is the chief executive officer of Project Milk Carton. With a background in ministry, counseling, entrepreneurship, athletic coaching, and organizational leadership, Melody guides the organization's programs, partnerships, and public outreach.

  Her focus is building communities of people who show up for children, turning research and public records into something ordinary neighbors can actually do. She believes every child is worth finding, worth protecting, and worth remembering.

• Frederick William Schum IV, Secretary

  

  Frederick Schum is Secretary of Project Milk Carton and looks after the systems that keep its work running. He came to PMC because every missing child deserves people who refuse to look away, and he believes careful, honest records are part of how that promise is kept.

  His education is in computer forensics, which taught him that evidence only matters when it is handled with care and can be trusted. He brings that same discipline to protecting the information PMC holds and the families it serves.
